My name is Chantell Fluckiger Hammond. I grew up in the small town of Rexburg, ID, and while attending BYU in Provo, UT I met and married Shawn Michael Hammond. Our lives together has lead us to Colorado Springs, CO where we are currently raising our 3 beautiful children. Lucy is our beautiful, smart, artistic, fun loving 7 year old daughter. She brightens our lives every day and we are so blessed to have her as our oldest because of the great example that she is to her younger siblings. Jack is our rambunctious, loving, athletic, adventuresome 4 (almost 5) year old little boy. He has a personality that is both strong and sweet and he loves to walk in his big sister's footsteps. Our baby girl Alivia just turned 3. We never knew that such a strong spirit could fit into such a small body. She is sassy, brave, cuddly, and independent through and through. As a whole our family is very close and we love our lives together.

Since I was a little girl I have always had a strong pull toward the family. Since I became a wife and mother this pull has turned into a passion. I spend a lot of time daily researching how I can become a better mother to my kids and a more supportive wife to my husband. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I am so thankful for the restored priesthood keys that make it possible for my family to be an eternal one. The love that we share is far too strong to only be allowed to endure for this lifetime. Over the last few months I have began to feel a desire to learn more about the people who came before me that made it possible for me to live this life of love and joy that I am living today. As I gain a deeper appreciation for my own family, I have become aware of the family that came before me that shared such love but may not have been as blessed as I to extend their family relationships beyond the grave. The great thing about the Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that I can help them. I can make it possible for those who have gone before me to become an eternal family. By doing this I can show my ancestors my appreciation for all that they did to bring me here so that I can have my own beautiful family. This understanding has brought me more joy and excitement than I could have ever anticipated and has strengthened my testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. I'm so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ and all that His atoning sacrifice has made possible for each one of us, and that His gospel has been restored to the Earth today through the Prophet Joesph Smith. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, I know this for myself, and I know it a little more with every single day.
